Purchasing a new to you boat is a bit of a roller-coaster. For most it is the biggest financial commitment after their home so is in equal parts daunting and exciting. It is also a very emotional period where the heart can often rule the head. This is where the surveyor enters, we provide the objectivity to the process and enable you make decisions informed by fact and experience. The survey covers all accessible aspects of the boat, its structure and systems. The inspection takes place with the boat out of the water and usually takes a full day. The surveyor can give a verbal summary of the main findings on the day of the survey, with a full written report following within a week. The surveyor will also be available for any clarification or questions arising from the report findings. The report format covers all areas as recommended by the International Institute of Marine Surveyors and our reports are independently quality assured.
